Weybridge and Walton
D’Oyly Carte Gardens
Based at D’Oyly Carte Gardens, Walton Lane, Weybridge and next to our friends at Elmbridge Canoe Club. The Weybridge Paddle Base opened in Summer 2018 and is a regular launch site for our members who live in the Weybridge, Walton and Sunbury areas. There is ample free parking and a good launch point of a purpose built jetty.
There are a number of good routes from Weybridge Lawn. There is the River Wey just upstream, with easy access from The Thames, via the path alongside Weybridge Rowing Club. The backwaters of both The Thames and The Wey in the same area.
The main River Thames around Desborough Island with a watering hole at The Red Lion, halfway round.
All the way to Sunbury Lock or through Shepperton Lock and upstream towards Chertsey.
It is a fabulous spot to setup and launch from and on a Sunny Sunday Afternoon, a great place to hangout or learn new paddle boarding skills.
During the Summer months we plan to have weekday evening paddles. Please check here or the Facebook group for details.

Cowey Sale
Cowey Sale is at the Walton end of Walton Lane, just by Walton Bridge and the Raclart Cafe. There is plenty of free parking, but it can get busy. There are grassy areas to pump up you board and clean it afterwards. There are several launch points along the riverbank.
As with Weybridge Lawn, there is the Desborough Island loop and the paddle downstream to Sunbury Lock and The Weir Pub.
