First time paddleboarding, was nervous due to having arthritis in my knee so wasn't sure I could do it but wanted to give it a go. Claire & Helen, the instructors were brilliant, patient, reassuring & gave me the confidence to give it a go, I am hooked! Fantastic opportunity to try something new & it was really enjoyable & good fun. Very reasonably priced taster session, highly recommend.
Can’t thank Brett and Becky enough for their support and encouragement during the lesson! I was extremely nervous to stand but they persevered and got me achieving my goal by the end of the lesson, even if it was only for a few minutes due to my trembling legs!! I did fall in (my worst fear!) but it really was nothing to be afraid of and as a larger lady, the way Brett helped me back on the board in seconds was a huge (and impressive) relief!!! I will be returning if they will have me 🤣 and can’t recommend them enough, for their kind, inclusive, yet extremely knowledgable approach!
I just had my first ever experience of SUP boarding with Dittons, I booked their taster session. I was very apprehensive about even being able to stand, but I did! Thanks to the top tips and expert advice from Di, aka the.sup.adventure.girl, not only was I standing, I was having a great time. Their perfect little set up next to The Albany pub meant I could get a well deserved drink after and watch the water world pass me by. I now need to source myself some equipment so that I can go again, soon! I hear their social evening paddles are great (friend recommended).
Top fun swimming pool session in a safe environment. Would suit anyone looking to try SUP or add to their skills. Personally, I wanted to get a bit of confidence on my new 14’ x 24” race board and this proved to be the perfect way to do it. For a start the water was about as warm as a bath - that was very welcome as I spent most of my time in there! Facilities are excellent, the staff were super nice and the SUP coaches were really helpful. Brett gave me be a couple of pure gold tips, thanks Brett! and thanks for organising such a helpful sesh. Simon 🤙🏻
Such a fun evening with very friendly fellow paddlers. Coaches were great at explaining the paddling basics and had us all on a feet by the end of the session.I would recommend for anyone who wants to give paddle boarding a try on a safe environment.
