Stand-Up Paddle Boarding Experience from The Albany, Thames Ditton, Surrey.

This is a 2 hour Guided Adventure Paddle Tour with technique improvement coaching for people who have paddle boarded before and would like to paddle past Henry VIII beautiful Hampton Court Palace, under Hampton Court Bridge, portage over Molesey Lock and explore Tagg’s Island.

Suitable for individuals, groups or families. Perfect for relative beginners through to more experienced paddlers. Maximum 6 people per tour.

Requirements

  • Participants must be 12 years old or above
  • Under 18’s must be accompanied by a participating adult parent/guardian on the water.
  • Be able to swim 20 meters

What to Bring

  • No specialist clothing is required. In warm, sunny weather, ordinary gym gear will be fine (shorts/leggings/T-shirt), with old sandals or trainers you don’t mind getting wet. Or you can get cheap neoprene wet shoes from most large supermarkets.
  • In colder weather, a wetsuit or drysuit would be advisory.
  • Always bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case you go in during the paddle boarding session.
  • A dry bag is a good idea, or you can put small items in the instructor’s dry bag.
  • Water, snack, hat and sunscreen if hot.
  • All equipment is provided or you can use your own board if you have one.

Important Information

Starting at our base (The Albany pub in Thames Ditton) the group will be given top quality paddleboards, waist leashes, buoyancy aids and paddles before a quick safety briefing.

Our experienced Paddle UK qualified and insured Instructor will then lead you on a 2 hour tour of the non-tidal River Thames past Hampton Court Palace, Hampton Court Bridge, Molesey Lock, Ash Island and Tagg’s Island. Informal coaching and photographs included.
