1st January 2019

We decided it would be nice to go for a paddle on the first day of the year, but what to make it different from the other days. It was chilly, so we needed to wear hats, so they may as well be a little bit daft.

We met early afternoon at The Albany Pub and decided to do the route up to the Second Weir and then down round Thames Ditton Island and back to the pub for some “recovery” drinks and food, well chocolate brownies and cream – Yum

There were lots of people out for a New Years Day walk and we attracted quite a lot of attention and there were 10 of us wearing some quite ridiculous head gear.

If you would like to get involved in the fun of DPB Thames Ditton and you own a board, why not become a member. If you don’t have aboard we run Taster sessions during the Spring and Summer months. Please check the Activities page for details.
