This is an Adventure Paddle for people who have paddle boarded before (not beginners) and would like to paddle past Henry VIII beautiful Hampton Court Palace.
The paddlers will all be given a Buoyancy Aid (PFD) and Waist Leash for added safety, plus a top-quality board and paddle.
The Tour will leave our base at The Albany Pub and paddle upstream to the wonderful Palace where the guide will take photographs of you for your Instagram and other Socials and hear some of the naughty tales from the area of what Kings and Commoners got up to back in time. We will then explore some of the backwaters on a little safari sometimes having to mount/dismount our boards to get over obstacles. Not for beginners!
- Participants must be 14 years old or above
- Under 18 years must be accompanied by a participating adult
- Be able to swim 30 meters
- No specialist clothing is required. In warm weather, ordinary gym gear will be fine (shorts/leggings/T-shirt/sweatshirt), with old sandals or trainers you don’t mind getting wet. Or you can get cheap neoprene wet shoes from most large supermarkets.
- In colder weather, a wetsuit or drysuit would be advisory.
- Always bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case you go in during the paddle boarding session.
- A dry bag and phone case is a good idea.
- Water, snack, hat and sunscreen if hot.
- You can use your own board or one will be provided
The group will start at the base and under the instruction of the coach will be given a safety briefing and fitted with buoyancy aids before heading off for our tour.
