About
These are bespoke sessions for family’s or couples at a time to suit you, so please call to book. Our whole ethos revolves around fun! The main priority during our sessions is you, we make our sessions bespoke which means each session is different guided by what is engaging you the most! If you haven’t paddled before we will give you an introduction to the sport or you can build on your current skills.
The lesson takes part on a beautiful stretch of the River Thames and covers safety and rules of the River as well as the technical aspects of paddle boarding.
- Participants must be 8 years old or above
Under 18 years must be accompanied by a participating adult. - Must be able to swim 25 meters
- No specialist clothing is required. In warm weather, ordinary gym gear will be fine (shorts/leggings/T-shirt/sweatshirt), with old sandals or trainers you don’t mind getting wet. Or you can get cheap neoprene wet shoes from most large supermarkets.
- In colder weather, a wetsuit or drysuit would be advisory.
- Always bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case you go in during the paddle boarding session.
- A dry bag and phone case is a good idea.
- Water, snack, hat and sunscreen if hot.
- You can use your own board or one will be provided.
The group will start at the base and under the instruction of the coach will be taught about the equipment and fitted with buoyancy aids. The session will cover water safety and river etiquette. The coach will teach the group how to paddle, turn, stop and stand up on the board. All of this will then be put into practice on the River Thames before we start the lesson.
