About

All of the Wey is back for another year. This is a 33km trip for experienced paddlers only who have  done a multi hour paddle boarding trip and are able to paddle at 4.5km/h downstream and are used to walking around locks. A touring board is advisable.

We will meet at Crown Court Car Park in Godalming (park at the back which is nearest the water) at 8am to pump aiming to be on the water for 8.30am. We will paddle downstream at a steady pace towards Send where we will stop for lunch at the New Inn for approximately 30/40mins so a pack lunch is advisable as we probably won’t have time to order lunch. We will then continue and finish at Elmbridge Canoe Club, Weybridge at approximately 4.30pm.

Transport will need to be organised so it would be good if people could buddy up and have cars at the start and the finish. This can be organised nearer the time.

We do need reasonable weather so we have a back up date of 21st September should we need it.

You will need suitable clothing for the day’s weather conditions, footwear for the portage. Bring a dry bag for extra layers. Phone in a waterproof phone case with a strap to keep it attached and a rope if we need to tie up at any point. Buoyancy aid and quick release belt.

Don’t forget water for hydration and snacks on route plus your pack lunch. They will be needed.

This is a proper day out!

Please Note – You are responsible for your own safety on all club paddles and must self assess if you are competent to take part, including the ability to Self Rescue. Dittons Paddle Boarding only set the meeting time and place.
