DPB Woking were out for paddle from the Scout Hut in Send, upstream to Sutton Place. Sutton Place was once the home of John Paul Getty.
The weather was perfect for a lovely paddle in the Surrey countryside. There were early signs of Spring with daffodils and crocuses on the river backs. There wasn’t much river traffic, it is early in the season, except for the odd swan defending it’s patch and chasing off other competition.
The return trip was pure pleasure, riding the current which was still quite strong and a gentle breeze to push us along.
