This was the second time we had run Santa SUP London, a free event in Central London for all paddlers to join in. We gathered at The Lighterman, just north of Kings Cross Station. Pumped up and added to our outfits.
Once launched we headed towards Camden Town. We got lots of good comments from the public, with many taking pictures of us. We did look good and it was a lovely day.
We had a bit of a challenge with building works near Camden Lock preventing us from easily porting round the locks. Once at Camden we were joined by the paddlers from Paddle Boarding London at the Pirate Castle and we headed towards Little Venice via London Zoo.
After a stop for lunch we headed off towards Ladbrook Grove as it was still warm and dry. There were lots of houseboats and converted wharf’s to look at and yet more joy to dispense to the passers-by.
Finally we turned back towards Paddington and on the way we met up with Active 360 out for their Christmas paddle. We all then paddled back to Paddington Basin and then the Pub.
